We serve the Town of Coatesville and Clay Township, we also assist with Franklin Township. The Mill Creek Fire District is composed of 3 small rural, all volunteer fire departments. They are Coatesville VFD, Amo VFD and Stilesville VFD. Coatesville and Amo are in Clay Township and Stilesville is in Franklin Township. Why Mill Creek Fire District you ask! A few years back, the 3 departments were feeling the crunch, not only the lack of proper funding, but lack of personnel. So it was agreed by all 3 departments to pool our equipment and manpower together to provide better fire protection, rescue and ambulance service to the 3 towns and 2 townships. Each department is still independent from each other, we all work as one department while working all incidents. We also train together and know each other’s capabilities, each department also tries to “shine” in different areas of firefighting and EMS. |
